Your initial visit to Altona Gate Dental forms a vital foundation for our relationship with you. We want to get to know you better and we hope you will get to know us. We are not that frightening and we really don't bite!
During the first visit at Altona Gate Dental, we obtain important information about you, your medical and dental history and it gives you the opportunity to get to know your doctor and the team. We will listen carefully to your concerns and questions as understanding these are an important factor in your result.
We may take digital x-rays to assess and offer solutions to for dental needs. Our digital x-rays are low dose and we offer in house 3D scanning and an OPG machine for in depth imaging. We also use an intra-oral camera. This mini video camera displays your mouth and teeth on a TV monitor and allows us to explain any concerns and discuss with you the various treatment solutions available, so you can see, understand and make informed decisions regarding your dental health. Our goal is to help you maintain your good oral health for a lifetime and to prevent problems from becoming serious, by identifying and treating them as soon as possible.
At the completion of this visit, we will demonstrate and discuss the most effective way to brush and floss your teeth at home. We are very passionate about educating our patients on simple, easy to follow but beneficial oral hygiene procedures.
